Allan Raible (The Slums Of Mediocrity) and Samuel Bean have been life-long friends, having both grown up down the street from each other in Brooklyn, New York.

"Neon Catapult" is their second collaboration and the proper follow-up to last year's "The Kensington Sessions." Allan brings the electro, trip-hop and strong punk influences that have fueled his previous albums as The Slums Of Mediocrity and Samuel brings forth his folk, blues and country influences.

The combination of these two players working together means that the sky is the limit. This is an album of vast sonic scope. Songs that are tremendously different from each other are often placed side-by-side. In the end, the hope is that the listeners will feel like they have gone on a thrilling journey from start to finish.

Yes, there are some absurd jokes along the way and some of these songs maintain the playful (sometimes dark and twisted) snarkiness often found on "The Kensington Sessions," but at its core, this is a record that continues to show growth. Some of these songs are somehow darkly funny and deadly serious simultaneously. That's not an easy balance. But hopefully it is one you will enjoy. Thanks for listening! -- May 19, 2015
